Learning Lessons

How many lessons could a person learn, if a person could learn to learn lessons?

This little riddle came to me last night and he had my mind in a tizzy.

This morning while sipping my coffee, it slipped back into my head, not as a riddle, but as a question. Which led me to the next question; How would you teach someone how to learn a lesson? My thoughts were then led back to my childhood, and it was there I found the answer.

How was I taught anything? Learning to write my ABCs wasn't easy. It took time, failure, patience with myself, lots of practice, and a determination to learn. Tying shoes was the same way. As we grew the process of learning never changed. all that changed, was our determination to learn.

I mention this in a practical matter, but what happens when we apply this same process to the big life lessons. Learning to love yourself, learning to trust people, learning compassion, learning all the many ways you can help others just by staying true to yourself. Learning your own toxic behaviors and learning to heal.
